The Energy of the Future
Today 74% energy comes from fossil fuels, and dispite all the ingenuity of our oil industry, is running out. As population explodes, and modernity spread as fast as the internet, competition for resources is reaching fever pitch. This has created an outcry throughout much of the developed world. Invest in renewables. If we want ourselves and future generations to have a chance. It is mission critical to expand the resource pool.
One Technology that seems to be catching people’s attention is solar. Currently 4% of the population in these united states has adopted the technology but in 10 years that number is expected to exceed 15%.
What is it about this technology that has people so excited? To answer that we must really understand 1 aspect of the problem that its solving. “The impact of scarcity” If you break our aspect down into 3 parts.
1.We are running out of Fossil Fuels
2.Everyone in this expanding population will be competing to get fossil fuels
3.Modernity is reaching into every corner of the globe thanks to the internet, and those populations are demanding equal access to the natural resource pool, ie they want to drive cars, and build out urban areas.
Ultimately giving all of us one of 2 choices, either make enough for everyone or someone has got to go without. Nothing breeds conflict more than scarcity.
The writing is all over the wall, and by and large solar is emerging as to what people are looking to fill that gap. Its cheap, reliable, and minimal downside.
Just look at all the drama that is being whipped up about this technology. Salesman brag about large commissions on social medial and congressman see it and have dubbed the solar industry as ground zero for where consumers can expect to be defrauded. Nothing shows the promise of something more than drama it whips up. Especially when the drama does not deter people from adopting the technology. After all, when the opportunity is this good it would make sense that it would encourage a feeding frenzy. I mean there are companies that will install without permits so they can install before the customer realizes they were over charged. Congress is even saying that solar is a real market solution and should not be eligible for subsidies so they should no longer be eligible for the federal tax credit. Despite this adoption is increasing.
A phenomenon discussed at length during the Solarcon conference that took place in Las Vegas this year. Which attracted the sharks who came in to break down all the way’s can take advantage of this opportunity. Solar made its mark in space as a reliable way to farm electricity from the sun to power satellites and the living quarters of space craft. Ever wonder why Satellites and the international space station can stay powered for decades at a time. Now people on land flock to it. It could keep them powered even if the Electrical grid goes down. Protects them from their utility companies rate hike. Plus, it makes it a financial gain to own and operate an electric vehicle.
With Nuclear there isn’t as many options as to where it can be deployed. Solar can be spanned out across neighborhoods. It is no wonder that it has attracted the sharks. It tackles resource issue’s and is easy to maintain. Profit can be made in volume. It will generate a lot of work, and might just be the platform to jump to when fossil Fuels dry up.
